This is a collection of life stories by people with a learning disability in Aotearoa/New Zealand.  Eleven people people with a disability and their families took photos of their lives and wrote their stories in 2003.

 

These were displayed at the launch of the NZ government report

To Have an ‘Ordinary’ Life, and later exhibited at many conferences over the next two years.

The stories were then published in a book: Seeking Community: He Ngakau Aatea Kitea and made into a DVD where people read their stories.
